Tracy Strauss is a writer whose essays have been published in Glamour, New York Magazine, the Huffington Post, Salon, Publishers Weekly, Ploughshares, the Satirist, and Writer’s Digest Magazine, among others. Her scholarly work has appeared in publications including War, Literature & The Arts: An International Journal of the Humanities and the Hopkins Quarterly, and she has published poetry in the Hummingbird Review, Spoonful, Ibbetson Street Press, and the Survivor Chronicles. Her collection, Between You and Me, was a finalist for the 2007 Bakeless Prize. Srauss is the former essays editor for the Rumpus and has served as a manuscript editor for Writer’s Digest Magazine’s Second Draft Critique Service. In 2014, she appeared on the Steve Harvey Show as a relationship blogger for the Huffington Post in a double-episode dating makeover series. She was the 2015 Boston Writers’ Room Fellow in Nonfiction as well as a winner of the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund Award for nonfiction. Strauss has taught at several universities in the Boston area and is currently a writing, literature, and film professor at the New England Conservatory. Her most recent book, I Just Haven’t Met You Yet, has been a local bestseller at several area bookstores.
