Ramin Ganeshram is a veteran, award-winning journalist and writer for the New York Times and Newsday. She is also a professionally trained chef, an author of cookbooks with numerous accolades, and a food columnist whose work has appeared in Saveur, Gourmet, Bon Appetit, National Geographic Traveler, and other publications. Ganeshram specializes in writing about multicultural communities and about food from the perspective of history and culture. Her first novel is The General’s Cook, which Library Journal called “a skillfully observed historical fiction debut.”
