Rachel Barenbaum is a novelist and book reviewer for the LA Review of Books and DeadDarlings. With degrees in business and literature and philosophy from Harvard University, she is also a graduate of the Novel Incubator program at GrubStreet. She has interviewed authors such as Madeline Miller, Leni Zumas, and Susan Bernhard. She is the author of A Bend in the Stars, a novel inspired by the solar eclipse of 1914. A Boston Globe bestseller and a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers selection, the book has been called “a fresh story from some of its most evocative and disturbing details” by the New York Times and “a thrilling adventure” by NPR. She lives in New Hampshire.
