Lisa Duffy is the author of The Salt House, a book club favorite which author Therese Walsh describes as “one of the best human portraits I’ve read in a novel.” A novel about a young family in the aftermath of tragedy, The Salt House was named a Best Book of the Month by Real Simple and a 2017 Best Beach Read by Refinery29, and was listed on Bustle’s “17 Best Debut Novels by Women in 2017.” With an MFA in creative writing from the University of Massachusetts, Duffy is the founding editor of ROAR, a literary journal supporting women in the arts. She has had short fiction nominated for the Pushcart Prize and appear in publications like Writer's Digest. Her latest release, This Is Home, follows an unlikely friendship between the teenage daughter of a policeman and their first-floor tenant, a woman whose husband goes missing. Author Colleen Oakley says Duffy “nails the complexities of modern relationships and proves that she’s a storyteller who’s here to stay.”
