Lawrence Millman is a mycologist, an explorer, and the author of sixteen books, including At the End of the World: A True Story of Murder in the Arctic, Hiking to Siberia, and Last Places. His area of expertise is fungi, and he has studied them all over the world--Greenland, Honduras, Iceland, Panama, Bermuda, the Canadian Arctic--but especially in his own backyard of New England. His latest book is Fungipedia: A Brief Compendium of Mushroom Lore, illustrated by naturalist Amy Jean Porter.
