Katrin Schumann

October 19, Copley Square
Writer Katrin Schumann was born in Germany but grew up in Brooklyn and London—as a consequence, most of her writing explores our search for a sense of belonging, and the struggle to define ourselves in the context of our circumstances. Her work has been featured in the London Times, and on NPR and Today. Schumann lives in Boston and Key West, where she teaches at GrubStreet and is the program coordinator of the Key West Literary Seminar and Workshops, respectively. Her debut novel, The Forgotten Hours, was praised by Kirkus Reviews and Booklist, who called it a compelling, incredibly timely read.
