CJ Farley is an author, journalist, and columnist. He is the author of novels and biographies, including Kingston by Starlight, a fact-based novel about an Irish immigrant in the Caribbean; Game World, a children’s book building off video game culture and Jamaican folklore; My Favorite War, about a journalist covering the Gulf War; and Aaliyah: More Than a Woman, a biography that served as the basis for a Lifetime television movie. His latest release, Around Harvard Square, is a satirical coming-of-age novel detailing the racial tensions at Harvard University, where Farley is a graduate. His short stories have been anthologized in The Vintage Book of War Fiction and Kingston Noir, and Farley was a consulting producer on the HBO documentary Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown.
