Raúl Gonzalez the Third is an award-winning illustrator, author, and artist living in Boston. His work centers on the contemporary Mexican American experience and his memories of growing up in El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Gonzalez is well-known for his Lowriders graphic novels series but also contributed to the SpongeBob Comics series. His latest is ¡Vamos! Let’s Go to the Market, the first picture book he has both written and illustrated.
