Alicia Anstead

Alicia Anstead is a journalist, editor, and educator. She is currently the associate director for programming at the Office for the Arts at Harvard University and is the editor-in-chief of Inside Arts Magazine, produced by the Association of Performing Arts Professionals. Anstead cofounded the Harvard Arts Beat blog and is a contributor to both WGBH radio and NPR. Anstead previously served as the editor-in-chief of The Writer, one of the nation’s oldest journals on the craft of writing. She holds a masters from the University of Maine and was the inaugural Arts and Culture Fellow at Harvard’s Nieman Foundation. She’s also a National Arts Journalism fellow with the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University and the National Endowment for the Arts Cultural Editor Program at Duke University.
