Meredith Goldstein is an advice columnist and entertainment reporter for the Boston Globe. Her advice column, Love Letters, is a daily dispatch of wisdom for the lovelorn that has been running online and in the paper since 2009. Readers ask questions, get answers from Goldstein, and join a crew of commenters for crowd-sourced advice. Goldstein welcomes letters about every kind of love, whether readers are dating, dealing with in-laws, breaking up, or getting back together again. The column prints in the Boston Globe on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and in the Sunday Magazine. It runs on boston.com Monday through Friday. Love Letters, the podcast, launched in early 2018. Each season, Goldstein poses a single, burning question and attempts to answer it through rich stories, interviews with letter-writers and experts, and confessions from her own life. Season Two of the podcast launched in January of 2019, timed with a celebration of ten years of the column. In 2018 Goldstein released two books: the memoir Can’t Help Myself: Lessons and Confessions from a Modern Advice Columnist and Chemistry Lessons, a young adult novel about a young woman who uses science to manipulate her love life. Her first novel, The Singles (2012), was about a group of dateless guests at a wedding.
