Elizabeth Searle is the author of four books of fiction, with a new novel forthcoming, and the librettist of Tonya & Nancy: the Rock Opera, a show that has drawn national media attention and has 2015 performances forthcoming.  Her books include Girl Held In Home; A Four Sided Bed, nominated for an ALA book award and in development as a feature film; Celebrities in Disgrace, which was produced as a short film screened at festivals around the country, and My Body To You (Iowa Short Fiction Prize).  She has work in over a dozen anthologies, including the bestselling Knitting Yarns from Norton and Don't You Forget About Me from Simon & Schuster plus three new 2015 anthologies.  Over thirty of her short stories have been published in magazines like Ploughshares, AGNI, Kenyon Review, New England Review, Massachusetts Review and Redbook.  Her theater works have been featured on Good Morning America, ESPN Hollywood, NPR, the AP and more and have been widely performed, most recently in Hollywood, at the Northern Writes New Plays festival (where her one-act play Stolen Girl Song premiered) and in Boston at the ART's Oberon Theater.  Both her opera and rock opera about the Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan skating scandal were produced in 2014; the rock opera has performances forthcoming in NYC.  Elizabeth's newest book will be published in 2016.  Elizabeth has taught Fiction Writing at Brown U, Emerson College, UMass Boston and more.  For over ten years, she has taught Fiction and Scriptwriting at Stonecoast MFA.
