Oge Mora is a Caldecott Honor writer, painter, and Caldecott Honoree who lives in Providence, Rhode Island. Her first picture book, Thank You Omu!, is about a community who forms around one lady’s famous stew, and her most recent release, Saturday, follows a mother and daughter spending their weekend together. Her illustrations, recognized for their use of vibrant color and varied media, have been lauded by the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
